I don't like our winter. It gets cold and gray and so do some people. But I won't waste this journal complaining because I've got awesome things to tell you about! (And if you don't want to hear that... fuck off! 8D)

So last week there was the animation festival and I saw a compilation of Japanese shorts (including the one that won an oscar) and Tekkon Kinkreet, which I'd wanted to see for a really long time.
If any of you have seen Tekkon Kinkreet or like, the trailer, you know how fucking amazing it looks (the trailer is not very good but you get some idea). The backgrounds are super-detailed and colourful so watching it on a small screen does not do it justice, and I am glad I got to see it in the cinema.
Also: White is so adorable. Ohmygod, seriously.
The story went a bit over the top, though. In the way many anime movies do: at some point in the climax it just goes ON and you have to wait for it to calm down before you know if what was happening was good or bad or whatever. But it looked good so if you like awesome animation you have got to see it. Steal a big TV if neccesary.

And I saw the Flaming Lips!!! 8D If you ever get the chance: go see them (unless you don't like them). They have lots of freaking awesome. And huge balloons. Yes? Yes.

And my comic reached a 100 fans and it's 25th page. I'm really happy I'm doing a project and actually following through (I won't promise I will get to the end of this pretty big story, but I sure haven't gotten this far before and since people are being all kind and stuff I'm way less likely to quit!)
